It was love at first swipe — Deanna and Elizabeth met on Tinder in the summer of 2021. They had their first date at Mash Mechanix, a brewery in between both of their apartments. Elizabeth couldn't stay out too late because she was picking up her new Subaru Forester the next morning in Denver, which just happened to be the same car Deanna drove. 

The two quickly bonded over their love of the outdoors, dogs, traveling, and trying new restaurants. But what stood out to both was their shared values, beliefs and goals. 

As much as Elizabeth and Deanna have in common, their differences complement each other wonderfully. Deanna is analytical, an excellent cook and can fix just about anything. While Elizabeth has a way with words, an eye for home decor and a knack for finding out all the neighborhood drama. 

After spending a few months together, Deanna quickly became an Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers, Indiana Hoosiers and Denver Nuggets fan. As quickly as that happened, Elizabeth became an expert camper. As a seasoned camping pro, Deanna came with enough gear and survival skills for both of them, and now the two love spending weekends in the summer camping with friends. 

Six months into dating the couple decided it was time to commit - it was time for Elizabeth to add Deanna to her Costco membership. That day, as they drove through the parking lot and passed Petco, it was there they first set eyes on Laika. She was a 10 month old shelter pup that needed a home. Eager to get a dog already, Deanna couldn’t say no to the long-legged, goofy-grinned pup with the sad eyes. 

The two bought their first home together in 2022 and the big surprise came in July 2023 when Deanna proposed to Elizabeth in Breckenridge with her college besties alongside. Elizabeth proposed back to Deanna a few months later under the stars while camping in Moab, Utah. 

Residing in Colorado Springs with Laika and cat, Annie, Deanna and Elizabeth feel so lucky to be surrounded by a community of friends and family and can't wait to celebrate with everyone on the wedding day.
